When The Beatles Are Dead is a podcast from the British rock radio station WOW.
It focuses on a different aspect of The Beatles’ career than the albums they made.
The show is hosted by the late Andrew Lloyd Webber, who hosted The Greatest Hits from 1970-1980.
It is an anthology of interviews with Beatles stars such as Brian Epstein, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, George Martin and Ringo’s son Ringo.
WOW also airs The Beatle Anthology, which includes music from the band, and The Beatles Anthology: Songs From The Heart, which features songs from the album The Beatles.
“The Beatle Archive is a wonderful opportunity to bring a wider perspective to the story of The Beatus,” said WOW president Stephen Lacy in a press release.
“We’re delighted to bring to life these remarkable stories of great musicians, and to showcase how they shaped the music of tomorrow.”
In a press statement, WOW co-founder David Tompkins said the show will highlight the life of the Beatles through the eyes of the artists.
“With the Beatle archive, we’re hoping to explore how the Beatles’ creative genius, as well as their incredible contributions to our music, shaped our lives,” he said.
“It’s also a wonderful chance to get the inside story behind the band.”
A selection of episodes from the series are available to listen to on WOW’s website, and the podcast will continue to air regularly.
“For the past few years, The Beatlestar Archive has been a great source of material for me, and now I’m excited to share the amazing stories of the Beatus with the world,” said Epstein.
